Love in Arranged Marriage ?

‘இவுங்க தான் கடைசிவரைக்கும்’ ன்னு சமூகமும் குடும்பமும் முடிவெடித்தப்பின் வரது அவ்ளோ பெரிய special feeling லாம் இல்ல.. அம்மா அப்பா அக்கா அண்ணா மாமா னு மேல இருக்க பாசம் மாதிரி தான். நிச்சயிக்கப்பட்ட ஒன்று தான். ( Except in case you do arranged marriage like Priyamanavale Vijay Na)

அது Just பாசம். காமம் உண்டு ( காதல் தவிற காமம் நிறைந்த மற்றொரு உறவு திருமண உறவு தான்) அந்த பாசம் உண்மைமையானது தான்.அதைமீறி அதுல ‘love’ னு கொண்டாட ஒன்னும் இல்ல..

அதற்கு முன்.. கல்யாண உறவிற்குள் எதுக்கு காதல் கண்டிப்பா இருக்கனும் ன்னு எதிர்ப்பாக்கிரீங்க?பொண்டாட்டி, புருஷன் மேல அளவுக்கடந்த பாசம். நல்ல தாம்பத்திய உறவு. இது போதுமே.

சமூக கட்டமைப்பால் செயற்கையான திருமண உறவில் வருவதை காதல் ன்னு கொண்டாடுவது, ‘இயற்கையாக’ இணையைத் தேர்ந்தெடுத்து காதலிப்பவர்களை சிறுமை படுத்துவது போலாகும்.மேலும் அந்த காதலின் சிறப்பை நீர்த்துப் போக செய்து திரும்ப சமூகம் கட்டமைக்கும் திருமண உறவே போதும் என்ற மன நிலைக்கு வந்துவிட நேரிடும்.

என்றுமே திருமணம் காதலுக்கான அங்கீகாரம் இல்லை.. அது இனவிருத்திக்கான அங்கீகாரமாகத் தான் சமூகம் கட்டமைத்துள்ளது.இதற்காகத் தான் திருமண உறவிற்குள் காதல் கட்டாயமில்லை என்கிறேன். உங்கள் திருமண உறவை கொண்டாட வேண்டாமென்று யாரும் கூறவில்லை. சந்தோசமா கொண்டாடுங்க.
அதை காதல் என்று சொல்வது தான் நகைப்புக்குரிய ‘நாடகக் காதல்’ ஆகிறது

So cut the crap. Enjoy your marriage life. Just don’t appropriate the space of real lovers.
It might hurt arranged married couples. Prachana illa. Let real lovers (either married or not) have the fun. You celebrate your wedding anniversary.Let stop normalising the unnatural arranged marriage. Society has already done enough in that front.

Parasite – A poverty Porn ?

Americans would have consumed #Parasite as ‘poverty porn’. That doesn’t make it as one. Especially the critics of poverty porn should be knowing this. This movie is his most nuanced yet strong criticism on not just class differences but upper class mentality.

Exploiting korean market could be one of reasons for the academy to celebrate this movie. But ‘The best picture’ category is mostly reserved for the films that are in compliance with american system only. Be it glorification of wars or white savior films.

Parasite is not just a misfit but opposite of it. So its no less feat considering the filmography of Bong Joon Ho as well as the history of academy.

So its silly to call this award as undeserved. It always is. Im Just glad, this guy who has been labelled as anti-american and anti-capitalist has made the americans bow for his creation that speaks his class politics without making compromise.

Parasite – Korean – Spike Lee Connection

These are clips from the movie ‘Do the right thing’ directed by Spike Lee.In the escalated climax sequence, blacks burning down the Pizza shop run by Italian White supremacists.After white police brutally killed a black guy while arresting.So blacks then will march towards korean shop to ravage it also.Korean owner defends saying ‘Im also black only’.He will successfully convince the blacks that they both are same.Oppressed are all same indeed.
